Salvation

We All Need Salvation

  • Tasha’s heart is to see all who land on this page understand the simplicity of the Gospel; what Jesus Christ has done for us and to explain why we ALL need Him!

Heaven and earth were once united, but they were sadly torn apart and distanced from God when sin entered the world through Adam and Eve’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden. This sin caused spiritual death, resulting in separation between God and man. That sinful nature was passed down through the generations and it still affects us today.

The word salvation means “the deliverance from the power and penalty of sin”.

The word sin means “to miss the mark for God’s standards”.

In case you’re sitting there wondering, have I sinned? Have I missed the mark? The answer is “Yes”, we all have! The bible makes it clear in Romans 3:23-24 that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but they are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus”.

The word redemption means “to recover something or an act of redeeming or atoning for a fault or mistake”. God sent his only son Jesus Christ to die for us, taking our place and redeeming us of our sins. Jesus is standing in the gap so we can have a relationship with God (our heavenly Father) even though we have all sinned and should be separated from Him. You could say that Jesus was the ultimate scapegoat.

You might be sitting there thinking “But I haven’t done what you’ve done Tasha, I’ve never taken any drugs, I’m not an addict or a prostitute like you were”, and that’s probably very true, thank God you haven’t! But I’d like to ask you have you ever lied? Have you stolen from a shop when you couldn’t afford something you liked or needed? Have you ever betrayed or hurt someone you love? Have you ever gossiped about someone? These are just some of the sins that cause us to miss the mark for God’s standards. Thankfully God had a plan that meant we no longer had to be separated from Him, and that plan was Jesus Christ! It says in the bible in John 3:16 ''For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life'.'

  • In Acts: 4:12 the bible says, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”. This scripture tells us that there is no other way and no other person by which we can be saved from our sins aside from Jesus! The good news is that Jesus didn’t come to only take away our sin, he also came to heal our pain, heartache, loss, grief, trauma from abuse, mental health issues, loneliness, life-controlling issues, rejection, abandonment, sickness and disease etc. and when we finish our time on earth to take us into heaven to spend eternity with God! Wow! God loves you that much that he wants to heal you completely and spend eternity with you in heaven! Just think about that for a minute.

In Revelation 21:4 the bible says, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes”. Did you know that in heaven there will be no more pain, crying, suffering or death?! In heaven we will rejoice and be glad as we spend all of eternity with our heavenly Father. If you’ve been reading this and have felt a tug in your heart, please don’t wait even one day longer… tomorrow is promised to no one! Today is the day of your salvation, today is the day to repent and ask God to forgive you for your sins and be the Lord of your life. Below is the prayer of repentance, which puts us back in alignment with God.

    Read this prayer out loud:

"Heavenly Father, I have tried doing things my own way and it hasn’t worked.

Thank you for showing me how much you love me, and how much I need you.

I believe that you died and rose again on the third day to redeem me from my sins.

Please forgive me for all my wrongdoing. Today I choose to turn away from my sin.

I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and saviour of my life from this day forward.

    In Jesus' mighty name… Amen".

WHOOP WHOOP!!! MARK THIS DAY DOWN IN YOUR DIARY! YOU HAVE JUST PASSED FROM ETERNAL DEATH TO ETERNAL LIFE; YOUR ETERNAL ADDRESS HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM HELL TO HEAVEN. THERE IS NOTHING GREATER!

If you have prayed this prayer, let me tell you that angels are rejoicing in heaven over you right now!! Your name has been written in the lambs’ book of life. You are now a new creation… you are brand new! Your sins and your past are forgiven and forgotten by God, there is no condemnation in Christ! In 2 Corinthians 5:17 the bible says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature, the old things have passed away, behold all things have become new”. In Hebrews 8:12 God tells us, “For I will be merciful and gracious toward their wickedness, and I will remember their sins no more”. And in Romans 8:1 it says, “Therefore there is now no condemnation (no guilty verdict, no punishment) for those who are in Christ Jesus (who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior). Isn't it amazing to know that we are totally forgiven and set free from all our sins?!
